Promote Scotland in the French MICE market

Thanks to its proximity with France and the richness of its product, Scotland is a MICE destination that fits with the French market. This is why in 2012, VisitScotland Business Events chose to collaborate with Interface MICE in order to reinforce its position and thus increase the number of requests for the destination.

What we've achieved

Since 2012, the organising of sales calls has allowed us to make 90 appointments with MICE agencies and corporate meeting planners, in order to present the Scottish MICE offer and generate new enquiries.

In addition, each yearly selling mission enables the Scottish private sector partners to have qualitative meetings as well as during the workshops.

The potential French buyers also have the opportunity to discover the destination for themselves, thanks to regular thematic MICE fam trips.

Since the beginning of the collaboration, almost 60 new enquiries have been generated, which represents a potential economic income of £ 21 million for the destination.
